Canada Pension Plan disability (CPP-D) and provincial programs such as the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) are separate systems with different rules. Medical evidence and financial tests apply; this portal only shows an informational snapshot.

CPP-D focuses on contribution history and a severe, prolonged disability bar for any substantially gainful work. ODSP adds asset and living-cost tests for income support in Ontario. Workers’ compensation, veterans’ benefits, and private LTD plans may reduce or coordinate with CPP-D—students should map offsets before advising anyone in real life.
