Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Digital Canada portal. They describe acceptable use, limitations of liability for illustrative data, and how updates are communicated. A production service would publish bilingual terms and track explicit acceptance with version numbers.
Agreement and version
By accessing this portal, you agree to the terms in version 2026.04, effective 2026-04-01. Your account record shows acceptance recorded at 2026-04-01T09:00:00Z.
Acceptable use
You must not attempt to disrupt services, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, scrape bulk personal data, or impersonate another person. Automated access may be rate-limited or blocked. You are responsible for activity conducted through your credentials unless you report compromise promptly.
Illustrative data disclaimer
Names, numbers, and program statuses shown here are synthetic. They do not constitute legal proof of identity, immigration status, tax assessment, or entitlement to benefits. Do not submit this copy to employers, lenders, or border authorities as if it were an official extract.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws, the program owner is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from reliance on this site, including lost profits or missed filing deadlines. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limits may not apply to you.
Changes
Terms may be updated when features or legal obligations change. Material changes should be communicated by email or in-portal notice with a reasonable lead time. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms unless you close your account.
Governing language
In the official Government of Canada context, French and English texts have equal legal status. This English summary is provided for convenience.
